Meow Creations

I remember back then when my bestie, Kat taught me the basics of crochet. It was a process -a very convoluted process. I didn't get the hang of it  and decided to leave all the knots and loops to her.

Starting with just making crocheted headphone covers to smartphone pouches for friends, Kat's crochet thing grew. A lot. So, just this year, she decided to make her crochet game into a micro business. Thus, Meow Creations was created.

Having no idea as how knots and loops work, I couldn't help her with the loads of orders needed to be made for her newly found customers. But having an eye for design and photography (humbled), I offered to give her dainty little crochet bows their deserved photo shoot. (And I also design her logo *giggles*)

December 27, 2014- After finishing twenty bows, the photo shoot was planned. It wasn't difficult taking photos of these tiny darlings. They were all photogenic. Take a look:




         



It was a fun shoot not only because of the colors poppin' but also because it was for my bestie.

A Glass of Tea --lights

I have glasses collecting dust over the shelves. Never been used because they're too beautiful to be held by clumsy hands like my brothers and sisters.

Same thing going on with you? Well, why not repurpose these glasses to tealight containers.

This is a simple DIY project. Place tealight in the glass. You can even add a bit of water so the tealights float. And you are done! No mess, no trouble. Just dainty lighting.


By the way, don't forget, we are dealing with fire here. Never leave them unattended even if the glasses contain water. Better safe than sorry.

DIY | Shelves


You only need:

  • planks 
  • hooks (in pairs)
  • strings
Twerking is much difficult than this project so I bet you can do this and put Miley to shame.

Screw in two hooks on the wall. The gap between hook 1 and 2 is based on the length of your plank. Tie the end of the string with its other end and hook it on the first. String's length depends on how high you want the shelf to be. Tie another string and do the same on hook 2. Remember in screwing in the hooks, give it half an inch or so from the edge so as the plank wont slip.


Now you have hanging loops. Slide in the plank into the loops and you have a shelf good for a handful of books and other knickknacks.  Do the same thing all over again for more shelf space. Once you get the hang of this DIY, you'd be able to rearrange and even add more shelf space.

I don't know what twerking has to do with this project but this is better than shaking whachamothergaveya. But I bet, after doing this project, you'd still be dancing.

Remember, a pop of cray wouldn't hurt! Have a great day!

Get Cray Cray on Christmas

Spread Christmas cheer on every corner of your house.



The season that most people consider to be so expensive is almost here. Don't go telling me you have not decorated your house with Christmas stuff! Well if you were gonna say YES, then you're on the right page.

See. We have to buy gifts, go to or hold parties, and so much more spending during this season that we sometimes end up cutting off the budget for Christmas decorations. Now is the time you open that dusty old box labelled "Christmas 2011" in your storage area.

Yeah. Reuse some old  decors.

CHRISTMAS TREE

I used the same Christmas Tree (the fake one) from last year and the same ornaments but I added new little touches on the tree like hanging ribbons :)

Don't limit your Christmas tree with just balls and lights. Add flowers and ribbons :)


Think of a color you would want to focus on and work with colors around it. Do the accent technique then bam! Merry Christmas! :)
